Proposed hackney carriage fares 2026

It was open from 17 July 2026 to 4 August 2026.

Following the Licensing and Regulatory Committee meeting on Monday 6 July 2026, it was voted to accept the proposal for a new table of fares to be submitted for consultation.

Details of the revised increase in the table of fares can be found in the West Suffolk Hackney Carriage tariffs.

Next steps

Once the consultation closes on 4 August 2026, if we receive any objections these will be referred to members for consideration. If no representations are received, the new fares proposed will take effect from 5 August 2026.
